What is Acupuncture

The United States has set rigorous training standards for "Licensed" Acupuncturists. Most states, including Colorado, require a 4 to 5 year Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine from an accredited Acupuncture school in the United States.

Chiropractors, MD’s and other Medical Specialists can be “certified” in acupuncture with only 100 to 300 hours of training. However, they are NOT considered a "Licensed Acupuncturist" without the 4 to 5 year masters degree. . . which Eunice Jantzen has acquired

According to western scientific observation and studies, Acupuncture has been shown to decrease stress and diminish pain on all systems of the body to include: endocrine, circulatory, respiratory, digestive, hormonal and neurological.

Acupuncture has gained worldwide acceptance and recognition. The World Health Organization recognizes Acupuncture as an effective complimentary medical treatment stating: "The sheer weight of evidence demands that Acupuncture must be taken seriously as a clinical procedure of considerable value. Thousands of research papers in the last decade have proved the scientific basis of Acupuncture from many approaches."

How Does Acupuntcure work?

Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese healing practice that has been used for over 3000 years to relieve pain and treat a wide range of illnesses. It is based upon an energetic model rather than the biochemical model of western medicine.

The ancient Chinese recognized a vital energy behind all forms and life processes.

They call this energy QI (pronounced Chee). This energy is said to circulate throughout the body along specific pathways that are called meridians. As long as this energy flows freely throughout the meridians, health is maintained. If the flow of energy is blocked or depleted, the system is disrupted and pain and or illness can occur.

EXAMPLE: Imagine a truck that travels along a freeway system throughout your entire body carrying needed energy to each organ and tissue. If emotional or physical trauma causes the trucks on the freeway to gridlock or the movement to be haphazard, the truck is unable to deliver the appropriate vital cargo to the right place in the body when needed.

Acupuncture works to remove gridlock by stimulating certain points with Acupuncture needles or non-needle techniques, so THE FREEWAY SYSTEM IN YOUR BODY BEGINS TO FLOW FREE AND NORMAL ONCE AGAIN.
